This listing is for a stunning RARE example of early Moser Bohemian Art Glass. Truly remarkable pieces. A pair of vases. Each vase was enameled in gold and silver by Moser. This decorating technique is referred to as: gilded and platinated and is attributed to Ludwig Moser himself - how great! These works date to circa 1885.
It is considered rare to find a pair of Moser's works.
OUTSTANDING DETAILING. - Each scene depicts a different castle with beautiful trees on each side.
Moser referred to this color as a Smokey Topaz. For reference refer "Moser Artistic Glass - Edition Two" by Gary D. Baldwin. Each measures 7 7/8" tall and 4 3/8" wide. Each base is marked with an enameled "5".
These works of art would be a fabulous addition to your collection.
The condition is excellent. The glass is clear. There is some minor wear to the gold and silver. It is hard to describe because some areas were left blank, on purpose, as part of the design. As with all antique glass, you will see signs of use. Please examine the photos very carefully to add to my description. Ask all needed questions before purchasing.
