Are you a fan of all things 1950s? The fashion? The design? The architecture? Why not add to your collection with this fantastic wedding set! Such a great value for such a beautiful pair of rings-- it looks as fresh today as it did when it was made.
The engagement ring is perfectly proportioned with a central square setting holding a round early brilliant cut stone. The white gold of the setting gives the stone the appearance of being much bigger than it is, though its estimated weight at .45 carats isn't tooo shabby to begin with. The stone is H in color with Si-1 clarity. There are 6 additional round stones on the shoulders (3 each) adding another .18 carats to the ring. The band is yellow gold but the diamonds are set into white gold. The face of the ring measures 7mm north to south and 17mm east to west.
The matching wedding band has a coordinating white gold setting with 10 small round diamonds (.20 carats estimated weight-- .83 carats estimated on both rings.) The yellow gold band is 4mm wide at the front tapering to 3mm at the back. The rings stack wonderfully together.
Condition is very good. The wedding band is a full size larger than the engagement ring at at 7.25 (engagement ring is 6.25) and shows a tiny bit of thinning on the band as a result of being sized. The engagement ring is marked for 14K but the band is unmarked. Both test as 14K. They can be sized up to an 8.5 or down to a 5 for $65 for the set (both rings). Contact me for a quote outside this range or for sizing on a single ring. The engagement ring weighs 3.6 grams and the wedding band weighs 2.0 grams.
