A beautiful example of early Mexican Sterling Silver jewelry. This ring is large standing 1 3/4" in height and 1/2" wide. It is a size 7.5. It has fiery inlaid abalone shell and white mother of pearl shell in a teardrop shape setting. The abalone has colors of green, blue, and a deep plum. There is a rope edge around both of the teardrops and two round beads at the top of each. The sterling silver has much of its natural patina as we only used a polishing cloth on it. The back of the ring is marked Taxco, 925 for sterling purity and has the makers mark of PDM or PDH. It also has an Eagle 1 mark. We estimate this ring to be c1960s. It is a wonderful bold design for the lover of sterling and abalone jewelry. It will come in a presentation box for you or to gift.
