This Art Nouveau signet ring is a vision to behold. Wrapping one's finger in beauty and love - creating a one-of-a-kind ring that embodies the aesthetic of this period so gloriously.
Crafted from a wonderfully rich apricot hue of 14k yellow gold. Two semi-clad women appear to be holding up the mount for all to see. Their hair and hands entwine - encircling the mount with curved lines. Each shoulder is a mirror image of the other - allowing for symmetry. Both women are wonderfully detailed. And no detail is two small - the skirt each woman is wearing folds seamlessly into the base of the shank. This ring is like wearing art on one's finger.
Then there is the size of the mount - measuring 5/8" north / south on the finger. And what makes it even more incredible is that the mount has yet to be engraved.
US ring size 13 - but can be easily resized. Weight of ring is 7 grams (4.5 dwt). The ring is not stamped, but tests 14k yellow gold. Please note that the ring was resized at some point and that there is a tiny nick on the interior of the shank - over time it has darkend with patina (see photos for reference). Please note that the nick is not visible when worn. And in no way do the nick or the the resizing of the shank deter from this ring's majestic presence on one's hand. Please also not that there are some minor scratches to the surface of the ring, which is expected due to the age of the piece.
