A brilliant turquoise cabochon is set in 12 karat gold in this splendid Edwardian ring. The cabochon has a high dome which, combined with the wonderful shade of blue, makes it reminiscent of a robin's egg. There are some small golden brown inclusions in the stone. The stone is set in unmarked, but acid tested, 12 karat gold with a luscious finish. The tone of gold is often referred to as "natural", a shade midway between yellow gold and rose gold.
SIZE: ring size 6-1/4. The cabochon is 5/8" long x 3/8" wide
AGE: circa 1910
CONDITION: very good antique condition. One end of the stone has turned slighly green.
