A very nicely enameled small sterling guilloche nut dish or ornamental utility serving tray, circa 1900. There are no chips or flakes to the enamel, but there are two very slight crackling spots on the enamel that are practically invisible except under close inspection with magnification, at either end of the tray, see photos. These crackling areas feel perfectly smooth to the touch. The tray measures 3 3/4" by 2" by 3/8" deep. There are sterling "925" touchmarks along the edge. The tray weighs 36.8 grams. European in origin, but the small maker's mark is half-stamped and indecipherable.
