A beautiful find at an estate sale in New Mexico the brooch has spectacular inlay and stamp work that Herman Smith a Navajo silversmith from the Gallup N.M. He learned his trade from his mother and is very well know in the Gallup area mostly for his stamp work. This piece has a variety of stones and colors of red, pink, turquoise and purple. The work is exceptional and it is signed H S Sterling.
