A delightful Georgian drop pendant, set with diamonds, in 14Kt gold and silver, Europe, circa the 1720s-1820s.
This dashing pendant has been expertly hand-crafted in 14 karat rosy yellow gold and silver and been bezel set with a free form pear-shaped rose cut faceted diamond in a, cut down collet, foiled closed back setting. It is complemented by 11 round and oval-shaped diamonds. All the gems have wonderful color and total, approximately, 0.31 carats together.
The pendant is in excellent antique condition showing a fair amount of expected wear. It has only been lightly cleaned in order to maintain its fine look. It weighs approximately 4.89 grams and measures 1.54 inches (3.9 cm) tall including the bail by 0.73 inches (1.85 cm) wide. It bears an unknown symbol of a sword, 482 L, and tested positive for at least 14K gold and sterling silver.
