This is a set of 5 small bisque dolls which date from the turn of the century. They are silk sachets, that have long since lost any odor, naturally.
They measure 2 1/2 inches tall and about 1 1/2 inches wide.
Each has a long silk ribbon joined at the back. There is splitting of the silk due to their great age and the ribbon has come loose from a couple of them, though the detached ribbons are present.
While they all have identical forms and coiffures (tightly coiled doll-hair), each face is painted with a different expression and personality. I can see through the split in the silk of one of them that they have jointed shoulders and the arms are present under the sachets, so you could take them off if you wanted the dolls without the big poof balls on them.
