Up for sale is a ROBJ “Cusenier” bottle decanter which was made in France, probably in the late 1920s to early 1930s.
Robj was an artist active in Paris in the late 1920s and early 1930s. He actively encouraged Art Deco and Cubist designers and artists, and provided a showcase for their works. Robj sponsored an annual competition between 1927 and 1931 as a means of finding new designers.
A perfect addition to any Art Deco or liquor bottle collection. It stands about 10 3/4" tall and has no damages other than some gold wear on the "cap" bottle topper from use.
