Up for sale is a lovely old lithopane porcelain panel with a scene of a young woman spinning yarn. Her cat is by her side. The piece measures 4 1/4" wide x 5 1/8" high. It is marked on the bottom lower edge with the numbers 1845 and a symbol that looks like a magnifying glass or handled mirror with some markings inside that I can't make out. Sorry my picture of the mark is kind of blurry. The litho is in fantastic shape. The only questionable thing I see is in the upper right corner of the litho there is an etching that seems to have been done differently than the main scene - for lack of a better explanation it looks like a smudge. So I am not sure if it is a flaw or if it was intentional. When backlit (see photos) it appears to be a wall hanging.
