Up for sale is a lovely huge 12" English cut glass "Daisy & Button" pattern lay-down scent or perfume bottle with a sterling Sampson Mordan lid. Circa late 1800's. The glass body of this beautiful bottle is cut in an all-over diamond and hatch work pattern often called Daisy & Button in the U.S
It has a sterling silver top with loose damaged cork stopper. The sterling cap is marked S.M Lion sterling mark Shield H Sampson Mordan.
The bottle has a long flattened cylinder shaped body and measures a huge 11 15/16" long with the cap.
The glass body is in excellent condition with no noted damage. The silver is worn and/or scratched in areas on the top and there are some dents. One of the dents is up toward the top and the other is on the side of the lid. There is also a scarab engraved on the cap top (see photos).
