Up for sale is a lovely huge 12" English cut glass "Daisy & Button" pattern lay-down scent or perfume bottle with a sterling Sampson Mordan lid. Circa late 1800's. The glass body of this beautiful bottle is cut in an all-over diamond and hatch work pattern often called Daisy & Button in the U.S
It has a sterling silver top with loose damaged cork stopper. The sterling cap is marked S.M Lion sterling mark Shield H Sampson Mordan.
The bottle has a long flattened cylinder shaped body and measures a huge 11 15/16" long with the cap.
The glass body is in excellent condition with no noted damage. The silver is worn and/or scratched in areas on the top and there are some dents. There is also a scarab engraved on the cap top (see photos).
