Up for sale is a wonderful bisque shoulder plate doll that I believe was originally intended to sit on top of a box of chocolates or intended as some other decoration as it is just the head. The head measures about 7 1/2" in circumference and is made of bisque, with brown sleep eyes, raised eyebrows, painted upper and lower eyelashes, an open mouth with 6 little teeth and a bisque shoulder plate beneath its base; on the head is a real human hair wig with original pate and mesh wig base, wearing a dunce style cap which matches the base The base is is covering the shoulder plate so I can't fully see the mark or if there is a mold number, but the head appears to be in excellent condition, with just one small chip to the inner rim of the head, visible only when the wig is off, and no other chips, cracks or damage; I don't feel any damage to the edges of the shoulder plate and any lines you see on the face are not cracks, just stray hairs.
It looks like it has the Holze Masse mark on back along with what looks like the E.D. French Depose mark up near the wig.
Unique and lovely piece to use as a centerpiece!
