Up for sale is an 1800s heavy cobalt blue sugar casket or jewelry box. Actually I think it must be a jewelry box rather than a sugar safe because of the cloth lining. It is a deep cobalt color and the handpainting is gorgeous . There is a bird on the top and some designs on the side that look like some of the Staffordshire pottery patterns. There are some nicks to the glass on the bottom, the sides appear perfect. The top has a crack approximately in the center, not very noticeable, you can see it best on the picture where the lid is open. It measures 3.5 x 3.75 x 2.5 inches.
