Elegant Glass of the Depression Era
I am pleased to offer 3 lovely low sherbet goblets. They were made by Heisey. The pattern #458 known as OLYMPIAD was etched on the #3411 MONTE CRISTO blank. The years of production span from 1933-1941.
The bowl is blown and the stem is pressed. The Olympiad etch depicts a trellis filled with flowers and trailing leaves. The Monte Cristo blank has an elegant stem with the large bowl having many raised dots.
The etch can be see on page 224 and info on the blank on page 234 of "Heisey Glass 1896-1957" by Neila and Tom Bredehoft.
The stemware stands 4 1/4" high and holds 6 oz. It is a clear/crystal color.
There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. There are no reproductions.
