EARLY AMERICAN PATTERN GLASS (EAPG)

This lovely handled celery vase was manufactured by Bryce, Higbee and Co., ca. 1906 introduced this pattern as MADORA. A popular name of ARROWHEAD IN OVAL is often used.

It is clear in color. It stands approximately 6 in. high and is 4 in. in diameter. It weighs more than 1 1/2 lbs. It is clear in color and there are no chips, cracks or repairs. The heavily patterned form shows almost no usage marks.

Quality control as we know it today did not exist in 100+ year-old glassware which usually exhibits some of the following: sheer lines (straw marks), mold lines, bubbles, embedded ash or impurities, rough mold seams, & manufacturing variations. These irregularities are generally not considered flaws and often times help authenticate the date of production.

As I like my customers happy and satisfied with their purchases, I welcome and encourage any questions and will gladly provide additional pictures.

NOTE: Additional information about this pattern can be found in Homestead Glass Works; Bryce, Higbee & Company, 1879-1907 by Paul Kirk Jr.
