EARLY AMERICAN PATTERN GLASS (EAPG)
This lovely tankard was manufactured by McKee Glass Company, ca. 1905. It was part of their PresCut Line and the pattern name is WILTEC.
It stands approximately 9.5" high. It weighs an incredible 4 lb. 10 oz.
It is a lovely clear crystal. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs.
Quality control as we know it today did not exist in 100+ year-old glassware which usually exhibits some of the following: shear lines (straw marks), mold lines, bubbles, embedded ash or impurities, rough mold seams, & manufacturing variations. These irregularities are generally not considered flaws and often times help authenticate the date of production.
As I like my customers happy and satisfied with their purchases, I welcome and encourage any questions and will gladly provide additional pictures.
