Offered is this lovely blue milk glass sugar shaker manufactured by Gillinder & Sons, 1891-1899. Catalog ads from the time period describe it as a sugar sifter in opal glass and the color as turquoise. The pattern name is RIBBED SCROLL aka SCROLLED RIB.
It stands approximately 4 3/8" high and 3 1/2" in diameter. The shaker has the characteristic rough, unfinished, unpolished rim found in shakers of that era. The metal lid is well-worn. .
There are no chips, cracks, or repairs to the body of the shaker.
EAPG usually exhibits some of the following: straw (shear) marks, mold lines, bubbles, embedded ash or impurities, rough mold seams, and manufacturing variations.
As I like my customers happy and satisfied with their purchases, I welcome and encourage any questions and will gladly provide additional pictures.
