It is much more Fabulous in person!
Signed Lisner, it measures slightly over 7" and is almost an inch wide.
For nearly 30 years after its 1904 founding, Lisner imported and sold Elsa Schiaparelli's Parisian jewelry in the United States. In the '30s, the company achieved a higher profile by finally selling its own designs
Evidently, Lisner held the license for Schiaparelli in the US. Details are spotty but they did have a documented connection until about 1953. Some Schiaparelli jewelry looks more Lisner-like than others.
Currently, one of the most coveted vintage Lisner lines is the molded plastic oak-leaf jewelry, which was only produced for five years in the '60s.
This is one of those Oak Leaf that is highly collectible! Many notable Lisner designs feature plastic translucent "jelly" leaves which may have been manufactured by a company from Kaufbeuren or Neu Gablonz, Germany called Walter Fischer. This company was well-known for producing plastic leaves and it is known that Ganz made trips to Kaufbeuren for product development. Today, collectors appreciate Lisner fashion jewelry for its modern, art-inspired beauty. Victor Ganz may be well-known for his art collection, but he should also be remembered for the artistic, classic jewelry he created
Looks Glamorous on!!
Wonderful to Excellent Condition! (the only slight wear I see is on the back of the clasp as seen in last picture)
