Rare Vintage Rifas Truly Unique Mid Century Statement/Runway Brutalist Brooch/Pin Most Unusual Mid Century rendition of Golden Nuggets with a Bold center piece of molded glass that resembles coal, lava or moon rocks surrounded by a few scattered diamond rhinestones. Attributed to Rifas, a Chicago , an Illinois Designer who's pieces are very difficult to find. He was a Designer in the 1960's. Frank Rifas used these unique Glass Stones as center pieces and is also identified by the back construction of the piece. This will get lots of interest and compliments. His pieces are very difficult to find. This is a Rare example of his work. A true Statement/Runway Quality Piece~! Somewhat Brutalist/Modernist in style, Brutalism was originally a mid-20th century architectural style, but the also applies to other areas of design, like jewelry. The movement reflects the atomic age. Brutalist jewelry is never uninteresting! It measures 3" across x 1 3/4" down. Excellent Condition!
