A small scale Lester grand piano. It is 4'7" long and was refurbished and refinished in 1998. The serial number is 193455, dating it to 1955. It is Lester's style 36 which was originally mahogany, now finished in a more contemporary gloss black Lacquer. The sound board was refinished and the strings and keyboard were cleaned and adjusted. It has been recently tuned but will need to be tuned when moved. There are abrasions on the lid which can be buffed out. Pianos from Lester Piano Company, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania were handmade to high standards and produced in small numbers. It was a local favorite, used in schools, studios and private homes. It was considered the Steinway of the South. It is 4'7" in length, by 56" wide by 39" height, Has three pedals and 88 keys.
