From the estate of a prominent Chicago Illinois family, An Anglo-Irish hot water urn in the Regency manner. This classical urn is embellished with Satyr heads on the handles and stylized four leaf clovers on the base. Circa 1880-90, it has simple, classic clean lines. The condition is vintage with some wear to the surface plating and a minor dent on the backside and one missing screw to the spigot (see images). It is functional, does not leak and holds 4 quarts of liquid. The former owner used to fill it with Vodka! This piece has been regularly polished, giving it a sheen that fine vintage silver plate acquires with age. It is 20.5" high by 11" handle to handle by 13" from the spigot to backside.
