An estate find large, 31" tall Handwerck bisque and jointed composition body doll in original condition with no repairs or alterations She has long blonde human hair and wears what appears to be her original antique cotton batiste and lace gown and bonnet. The vintage felt shoes and baby stockings are probably not original to her. The gowns and bonnet are stained and have tears (examine the images). The bisque head is beautifully hand painted with blue glass eyes and pierced ears with no cracks or repairs. The limb joints are moveable and working; where the arms attach to the shoulders the joints are rather loose. The back of her head is marked 109 15 1/2x, Germany, Handwerck, 6 1/2. On the bottom of each foot is inscribed 1776 8a, 1891, 60Pm in pencil. The listing is for the doll which was purchased with a vintage sage green wicker doll's chair to be sold separately.
