A rare and elegant Dressel & Kister porcelain Medieval lady with a parrot. She is part of a series of highly collectable Medieval full figurines and half dolls Dressel & Kister created between 1900 and 1915. The designs were taken from French fashion plates of Medieval styles. There are some issues with this piece. Both arms have been reattached. The arm holding the parrot was broken in two places, there is a chip on the parrot's tail and one wing. The tip of her headress has a small chip. She displays beautifully and, because she is rare, it would be worth the expense to get her properly restored. Dressed in a blue gown with ermine trim, she is 9.5" tall, by 3" arm to arm by 5.5" from left foot to end of gown. Very rare and beautiful!
