A handsome silver-plated Christolfe Art Deco 4-piece coffee and tea service with tray circa 1940. It is in the Colbert pattern with it's bold stylized shell design, gadroon borders and rare macassar handles. There is no plating loss but surface scratches on the tray and very minor scratches on the other pieces which are extremely clean, as though they were used for display only. The coffee pot is 9.25" h. from base to finial top, by 8" from handle to spout. The teapot is 7.5" h. from base to finial top by 8" from handle to spout. The creamer is 4.75"h. by 5" from handle to spout. The lidded sugar bowl is 6"h. by 6" handle to handle. The tray is 22.75 l. by 16" deep. All pieces are heavy and of high quality typical of Christolfe silver.
