A rare quality American Art Deco Chromium Coffee Set by industrial designer, Theodore Hess for the Bruce Hunt Company, New York. Theodore Hess, American born in Germany 1873 died after 1937. Pictures of this coffee service and a cocktail set are featured on page 122 in Decorative Art 1937, Yearbook of the Studio, a publication that featured the best in Modernist design. This is a set for the serious Streamline Moderne/Art Deco collector. There is surface wear on all pieces, typical of a 77 year old set with its original chrome plating, and one very small dent on the coffee pot (hard to photograph). The coffee pot measures 10.25" high by 6" from handle to spout, diameter is 3.5". The creamer measures 5" from handle to spout and 2.5" high, diameter is 3". The open sugar measures 5.25" handle to handle by 2.5" high, diameter is 3".
