A circa 1875 tazza with a Guangxu period (1875-1908), Chinese export Wucai Famille Rose plate with Continental bronze ormolu mounts. The motif is a fierce, winged dragon and two phoenix holding Fu (Scholar scrolls). The detail and color glazes are masterful. It is unusual to see a winged dragon in Chinese porcelains in such detail. Condition is vintage with minor wear to the red curly background design in two places. Otherwise, there are no chips, cracks or crazing to the porcelain. The handles to the ormolu mounts are somewhat bent (please examine images and/or e-mail me for more details. Overall measurements are 10.5" handle edge to handle edge by 7" from base to the top of the handles. The Guangxu plate is approx. 8" diameter by 1" deep.
