Alfredo Galli ?- 1948 Was born in Florence, Italy. He moved to America in 1929 where he painted portraits in New York City and New Orleans, Louisiana where he lived and worked in his French Quarter studio until his death on September 30, 1948. His subjects were generally well known, one, being Louisiana State Rep., Lindy Boggs as a young woman. Galli loved painting portraits of young women; his preference/requirement was that they dress in white .
