A beautifully hand engraved, nicely detailed fused silver plate salver with a Birmingham 1821 date mark. It has been electroplated at one point in its life which has made it hard to decipher the the maker's stamps. There is some wear to the silver on the face of the salver which is hardly noticeable and on one edge over a foot there is a 3" length split where the silver overlaps the copper base (see image). It measures 10.5" diameter by 1 3/8" high.
