An outstanding Verlys-American charger circa 1930-1950's. The field for attribution is Heisey Glass Company who used Verlys molds to manufacture and distribute Verlys Glass designs in America. Early pieces were signed Verlys in script. This one is not signed so it may be one of the later pieces. It has the signature Verlys design motifs where everything centered around threes (three fish three waves, etc.) This is a very heavy piece and it rarely is offered for sale. There is the usual surface wear on the bottom, there are no chips, cracks or repairs. There is a manufacturing flaw (shown in close-up image). It measures 13 7/8" in diameter by 2.5" high.
