Carmen is featured on page 35 in Frieda Marion's book, "China half-figures called Pincushion Dolls". Dating from the 1920's, her face is nicely detailed, with spot on her nose and some glazing pops on her orange shawl that occurred during the firing process. Her dress is elaborately made of 9 layers of orange and black satin ribbon. She is marked "Made In Germany on the back, and is 3.5" tall. Overall height is 9".
