This original 1928 Chromolithograph " La Lettre" was one of several images Louis Icart allowed to be published by Morris and Bender Inc. of New York. They were sold in Furniture Stores and were given as a bonus when a suite of furniture was purchased. A Chromolithograph is the next best thing to an original lithograph. It is a high quality photolithograph process that approximates the real thing. This one has been professionally conserved and gallery matted and framed. There are 5 or 6 minuscule spots that couldn't be removed but are hardly noticeable. Image measurements are 17.5" by 14.5". Framed size is 24" by 18 7/8". This is not a contemporary, inexpensive offset print.
