A Vieux Paris Classical style inkwell made by Pouyat at Rue Fontaine Au Roy Circa 1810-1820. It is painted pink with hand applied gilt designs, gilt ram's heads and an bronze ormolu mounted lip. There is wear to the gilt on the ram's horns. There are no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. It is 6.5" wide by 5" deep by 4.75" high from the base to the finial on the lid.
