Here is a delicate beautiful antique pin, Edwardian era, featuring a stylized Lily of the Valley design. This silver topped gold brooch is unmarked. The design features a lovely row of white seed pearls that form the center. There are 13 pearls in all that graduate in size slightly. Size of each ranges from 1mm to 3.5mm. On each side of the pearls, are two rows of rose cut diamonds that represent the long lily of the valley leaves. There is a small stem and 2 leaves at the top that are also accented with rose cut diamonds. These gorgeous sparkling little rose cut diamonds graduate in size with the largest measuring about 2mm across to the teensiest little chip. Total diamond weight is about 13.7 points.
The length of the pin is 2-5/16 inches and the width at the widest part is about 3/8 inch wide. It weighs 6.1 grams. The pin mechanism is a single pin stem with a lever safety clasp, in great working condition. These type of closures were available starting 1900. There is a slight bow in the pin stem which is 14kt yellow gold. Other condition issues would be one small chip in a pearl and some slight glue residue on pearl.
