For your consideration are some antique 18kt yellow and white gold triple diamond drop earrings. I believe these earrings are French and date from the mid-19th century. Purchased from an antique estate, I was told they were 18kt gold and set with 6 in total old European cut diamonds for a total of approximately 1.25 carats, tdw. Each earring features 3 little white diamonds in graduated size. The smallest at the top measures about 3mm across, the middle measures approximately 3.5-4mm across and the largest at the bottom measures about 4.75mm across. The diamonds are not shallow cut diamonds and you can see the cutlet clearly through the settting. The top two diamonds are stationary and the larger bottom dangles and moves, giving it tremblant movement.
The diamonds are very good quality GH and SI1/SI2 clarity, very clean and sparkly. Diamonds are claw prong set and appear to be in good condition, no chips. The levers are in good functioning condition. There appear to be makers marks and gold marks that have worn and can not be deciphered anymore. They have been tested for gold content.
The old triple diamond drop earrings are very rare. I have seen a lot of examples of double drop, but not triple. Prices are very dear and I can offer generous interest free layaways, free shipping and insurance. Thank you.
