So adorable little lapel or scatter pin by the great costume jewelry designer Judith Jack. Her marcasite, sterling and enamel pins were very popular during the 1980's and 1990's. Famous for great enameling and marcasite in sterling, these are still fun today and I especially like them pinned onto a purse or bag.
This particular pin was purchased about 1990 and I used it on a handbag for years then tucked it away for a few more years. It depicts a little ice cream sundae or maybe a soda fountain ice cream drink. There are 3 scoops of icecream in white enamel, neon pink enamel and marcasite. A pink and white striped straw sticks out to the side. The fountain glass is neon pink enamel, sterling and marcasite. It measures about 1-1/8 inch high by 1/2 inch at widest area.
You will find 'sterling' stamped on the center back of the pin along with the makers mark JJ inside a diamond shape. Pin mechanism works, overall condition very good previously used. Total gram weight is 8.7 grams sterling. It stands on its own too so it looks cute sitting on any surface.
