This amazing vintage native American necklace came from the same estate as the grey onyx and bone necklace I have listed, item #000788. Again, this necklace is a statement necklace, chock full of turquoise thick flake beads that remind me of keshi pearls in shape. There are tiny little keshi beads in between each turquoise flake. Starting at the top, there is a simple hook closure, not marked but testing positive for sterling. A row of tiny keshi beads come after the hook and meet up with equally sized turquoise each measuring about 5/8" across. Between every turquoise, there is a section of these little keshi beads. This is a graduated necklace, perfectly executed and measurements range from the smallest at 5/8" across to the largest turquoise bead at 1-1/2" across.
Overall condition is great. The threading is a little loose near the hook closure so it could be re-strung if you wanted. Again, this is a heavier artisan statement style necklace, so keep this in mind if you do not like heavier necklaces. I do not know how old this necklace is but it is definitely before 1980 and my guess is 1960-1970's. I'm not an expert on native American jewelry so may be off a decade or so but I am quite confident it is at least about 40 years old.
