Scrumptious sparkle with chock full of baguettes is how I describe this beautiful Art Deco diamond ring, circa 1930's/1940's. Set in crisp 14kt white gold, there are 39 large baguette diamonds for a total diamond weight of approximately 2.70 carats. Each baguette measures approximately 4mm x 2mm. with 32 chanel set baguettes set in 2 rows with 7 baguettes separating each row and set on their sides. The diamonds are approximately GH, SI1/2. A couple of the diamonds show minor inclusions with a 10x loupe but overall they are very nice quality baguettes and look amazing with the naked eye.
The band measures approximately 22mm across the curved top, east to west, and 10mm in the center front from top to bottom or north to south. The back of the band measures 5mm in the center back, generous enough for resizing if necessary. The mark for 14kt is on the inside of the shank. This beauty is a size 6.5 to 6.75 and could be resized up or down about 1-2 sizes. Gold weight is 8.2 grams.
I have had some professional restoration done on this ring recently to bring out its full beautiful potential. The diamonds are prong set but due to age and wear, they have worn somewhat. I had the end prongs reinforced and tipped with additional gold on the end prongs. I had the ring dipped in 14kt white gold due to the base color coming through in areas. I had a professional appraisal done which came in at approximately $5,600. The buyer will receive the original appraisal paperwork upon purchase. Please note that for insurance purposes, appraisals are not transferrable. What my appraisal does is give you an accurate description of the ring along with an approximate replacement value for the gold and diamonds. Please note that precious metal and diamond prices may vary at time of purchase.
