I found this Art Deco era set from an antique jewelry dealer who was retiring and selling her inventory. She wasn't sure if it was Czech but I think it is. She said it was from the 1920/1930 era and it was a pot metal set with poured blue glass flower and leaf motif. The matching necklace and bracelet feature a gorgeous shade of royal blue or cornflower blue glass. The necklace clasp indicates its age, it is the older c clasp jump ring with a smooth hidden spring. There is no makers mark on either piece. It comes with the original box, according to the dealer. A lot of the costume jewelry I will be putting on in 2017 comes from this wonderful woman's inventory and I am very excited to have it.
The bracelet measures 7 inches long and 3/4 inch wide. There are 7 reticulated stations in the design of the berry and leaf design done in a darkened silver tone metal. Each beautiful blue crystal stone measures about 12mm long by 9mm wide. The double chain strand necklace measures 16.5 inches long. The center plaque measures about 3.5 inches by 1.25 inches wide.
Overall condition is good. The crystal stones glisten and shine, no foil backs. There are no visible cracks and surface scratches are minimal. The metal looks to be in good condition with a lot of oxidation over the years giving this set a gun metal look. I have decided to keep this patina on the set because many collectors love this patina and are disappointed to receive over cleaned stripped jewelry. I will leave this step up to the ultimate buyer. The presentation box has some small rips and some stains on the inside cream colored satin. The outside blue velvet is in pretty good shape.
