This Wonderful Chunky Bone Necklace was made by Gerda Lynggaard for Monies Copenhagen, Denmark 1986. Gerda Lynggaard and her husband Nikolai Monies began their company in the 1970's in Denmark. They liked to work with the Materials of Nature and used Bone, Horn, Wood, Seeds, Shells, Coconuts, etc. for their Jewelry. This Necklace is made up of Bone Beads and Large, Intertwined Bone Rings. The Ends are Silver tone Metal.
The Necklace measures about 25" in Length. There are some natural Crevices to the Bone and splits to the Rings. The Clasps are Marked GERDA LYNGGAARD pour MONIES COPENHAGEN and on the other side (c) 1986. This is a Wonderful, Signed Necklace by a Very Desirable Name in 20th Century Jewelry.
