This is a Lovely Iron Mountain Stoneware Pottery Teapot in the desirable Huckleberry Pattern. Iron Mountain Stoneware was started by Nancy Patterson in Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee. The Huckleberry Pattern, a Minimalist Scandinavian Modern Design, was in fact designed by a famed Finnish Artist and Potter, Kyllikki Salmenhaara in 1967 while in the United States. Patterson and Salmenhaara had become friends earlier while Patterson was studying and working in Finland.
The Teapot measures 10" across handle and spout and is 7" high with lid. The Inside, Underside of the Lid has a chunk out, but it is inside the teapot and does not show. If using to serve, hold down the lid. Otherwise, Very Good. It is Signed on underside with Iron Mountain Logo and USA.
