This is an Exquisite Set of 8 Dessert, Luncheon, or Salad Plates.; possibly were dinner plates when they were made. They have Cobalt Rims with Gold Gilt edge and Gold Flowers with Raised White Enamel Dots, and Stems that vine around the Rims. The Central Part of the Plates have Beautiful Painted Flowers, leaves, and Stems in Different Colors and Raised Enamel Dots. Some of the Colors include Blues, Lavender, Purple, Pink, Magenta, Turquoise, Green, and more. The Colors are richer than they appear in the pics.
The Plates measure almost 9". They are not marked as to a maker, but have a hand painted number on all 4447/31 and some have an impressed number 2215. They are undoubtedly made by a very fine Porcelain manufacturer.; possibly one of the Old Paris manufacturers, or Staffordshire England. I only have a limited knowledge of fine porcelain and china, and only purchase what I like. Maybe someone can identify the maker of these plates. They are in Beautiful Condition, with only the slightest careful use. Make me an Offer!
They weigh over 7 lbs before wrapping and packaging, so the package will weigh about 11 lbs. Shipping cost is just an estimate.
