From a Texas estate, Wallace Sterling Romance of the Sea, introduced in 1950, was the registered pattern by the estate holder when she married in 1956. This pattern is one of the most substantial sterling patterns I’ve ever seen. The preserve spoon measures 6 1/2” long. The spoon has not been polished; so some tarnish shows up in the photo, and there are a few use marks, but that is not unexpected considering the age. It has developed a beautiful patina over the last 60 years.
