This syrup pitcher from the 1940-50s has a red plastic lid with a sliding metal strip with a heavy spring that still works and has good tension to keep the metal strip closed when not in use. The glass container is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The dispenser with lid is 5” tall and 3 ¼” at the widest point. The mark under the lid says Federal Tool Corp. Chicago, Ill., made in U.S.A. There is some minor rust on the metal mechanism but that is to be expected due to its age. There is a rough spot on the red lid that was part of the manufacturing process.
This syrup pitcher could still be used or it would be a charming decorative item for your kitchenware collection. Please contact us if you have any questions.
