This wonderful vintage needlepoint is of a horse running fully extended toward the finish line. His ears are back and the jockey in his red silks is low in the saddle. The mane and tail are black and the body of the horse are several shades of brown. The horse is next to the rail and he must be in the lead as no other horses can be seen! The overall framed size of the picture is 20” x 17”. The image size is 16 ½” x 13 ½”. The wood frame is oak and is in good vintage condition. There are no scratches or dings. As can be seen on the back, the frame is held together on the corners by a metal fitting stamped Lambert. The needlepoint is in very good condition.
This would make a wonderful addition to your needlepoint or horse collection. Please contact us if you have any questions.
