Amber glassware warms up any room or dinner table, and this unusual compote would certainly not disappoint. The stem is an open three-branch tree with the branches and leaf pattern extending up on the bowl of the compote. The bowl is a free-form round shape with soft curves and points around the rim. This French piece is probably from the early 20th century, and there are not very many to be found. This is the only amber one I have seen. The piece stands 6” tall and is approximately 8” at the widest part of the bowl. The glass is clear and clean with no chips or cracks. There is a bubble or two in the glass, but that attests to its age. It’s an exceptional piece with lots of form and style. It’s quite substantial, weighing about 1 lb. 12 oz.
What a wonderful addition to your glass collection or to display on its own or use everyday. Please contact us if you have any questions.
