This is so cute. Some gentleman needed a tool box so he used what wood he had and crafted this wonderful mustard painted box. Notice that the inside back came from a DuPont box that was marked "High Explosives. Dangerous." Also the clever latch on the front was fashioned so that the wooden peg could slide through, securing the lid. It has a substantial handle on the top for easy carrying and the tray fits perfectly on the inside. Considering this was used as a utilitarian piece, it is in wonderful shape. The body measures 16" wide; 10" tall, including the handle; and approximately 10 ½ deep. The lid is a little wider than the body of the box, because it overhangs the box.
