This charming sled depicts the first St. Nicholas from 200 AD. Hand painted and signed in 1989, it is done in deep winter colors and has a braided cord with tassels to hang this wonderful decoration up, if you don’t want it on the hearth or under the tree. Measuring 17 ¼” long, 8 ½” wide, and 3 ¼” tall, it is large enough to be a noticeable decoration. Robin Lee, the artist, had her own shop which was full of wonderful primitive pieces and her own hand-painted decorative items. Her detail in this is wonderful. On the back she has written the history of St. Nicholas. There are some faint spots on it, a couple of smears of paint, and a few scratches, but they add its charm.
