What a charming powder or vanity jar from the 1920s era! The bottom of the alabaster jar has carving encircling it. The smooth top shows a beautiful gray-brown grain at the front and is topped with a spelter half figure of a beautiful woman with a pleasant smile. She has red enamel paint clothing and bonnet; her face and body have more of a satin finish to them. There is some red paint loss, but it doesn’t detract from this marvelous piece. It is approximately 4 ¾” in diameter and measures 5” to the top of the figural finial. The jar contains a vintage powder puff and powder. There are no chips or cracks in the alabaster.
