This wonderful 78” x 70” quilt was probably made by a Sunday School class or group of friends who were quilters. Each square is signed by the lady who pieced that particular square together. One of the squares is not only signed but also dated May 22, 1955. I was told that it was done by ladies who lived in Dallas, TX. The border around each square is a light pink as is the trim around the edge of the quilt. The quilt is clean with no holes or tears; there is a little bit of wear on one small part of the trim. There are a few very light spots (one is in the last photo), and there is a very light streak across part of the solid pink back, perhaps from the way is was folded and stored, but it’s not easy to see.
